No one matched all six numbers in Monday night’s Powerball drawing. But that’s good news for the rest of us. The jackpot continues to grow, and will be an estimated $1.73 billion for the next drawing, happening on Wednesday night.

This latest Powerball prize is one for the record books, behind only a $2.04 billion jackpot won in California in November 2022. If someone matches all six numbers tomorrow night, they’ll have the choice to receive their dough payed out over time or as a lump sum payment of $756.6 million before taxes. But it won’t be easy. The odds of hitting the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.

While we wait to see if we can quit our day jobs and head to the nearest beach, we decided to look back at some Black lottery winners over the years. We can dream, right?

According to The Daily Mail, Holmes spent a total of $21 million to stand by her man. If that wasn’t bad enough, in an episode of Iyanla Fix My Life, Holmes was in some legal trouble of her own, when she was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
